General Rules on our Booking Policy
Home4Docs hosts medical students from all over the world. Rest assured our booking policy does not discriminate against applicants based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, or age. We book according to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
As part of our booking policy we do not house undergrads or graduate students who are not in medical school. The reason for our exclusivity is based on the idea that we are providing our guests with an atmosphere. Our medical student housing gives guests a place to connect with and study with other people on similar journeys, thus making their experience more meaningful.
Our medical school housing guests like to talk shop with each other at our homestay after returning from their clinical rotations. They get tips from each other and also share each other’s stories about their journeys toward their goal of achieving U.S. residency. They will study together for their USMLE steps and talk about residency programs. Our medical student housing guests grow their network of professional friends through our homestay.

Home4Docs will advise you honestly when you inquire about medical student housing. We will tell you honestly the potential commute time to your preceptor and your transportation needs (whether you have a car or need to use a bus or train.) We will work with you before you commit. You can be confident about what to expect when you arrive. Home4Docs will also let you know if our medical student housing option is right for you and your situation.
Booking Policy
Availability can sometimes be a concern for us as well. This is also another reason why we do not allow instant online booking in our medical student housing. We advertise our medical student homestay through different clerkship companies. Home4Docs works with companies such as Chicago Clerkships, AmeriClerkships, and ACE, MD. Instant online booking can cause overbooking. Since we manage only 8 rooms the possibility of overbooking with automated online tools is too high of a risk for us. For this reason we ask that our guests visit our request a reservation page.
